Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center

Awesome place to learn about the surrounding estuary and it’s wildlife. Worth the time and small entrance fee because the staff is super kind and answers any questions you have. We got to see the seahorses be fed and touched some of the creatures in the touch tank. We also did the eco tour that’s been running for about a month now. We went on the monday 4pm ride it was only 4 passengers on board for the tour including my husband and I. The marine biologists on board were super kind, friendly and engaging. It felt like we had a private tour to ourselves. Highly recommend this, especially for families with kids. They cast a net while you’re out to conduct research and pull up mollusks, small fish, crabs etc. Was super cool to watch them do the field research and then learn about each thing they pulled up and put into little tanks for us to see up close. Thank you Aubrey, Mo & captain Gary!
