Return to Lake Henry
We have spent 40 years vacationing on Lake Henry with the exception of four summers when our travels took us on other adventures around the country and abroad. But, no matter what new vistas we experienced Lake Henry is our absolute favorite getaway in the world. This summer was no exception when we enjoyed everything THE SUNSET SANCTUARY had to offer. A beautiful house, lacking nothing for our comfort and pleasure. The view of Lake Henry from the house or dock is the best for this gem of a private lake.
The sad part was having to leave Shag-gri-La.
But, in the words of MacArthur, “We shall return.” Again and again, we hope. RS & family.

Absolutely Fabulous!
Christianne was phenomenal – from our very first communication to the last. The property is gorgeous and in a great location. Beautifully decorated and well kept. Stocked with lots of extras.
We had reserved another property close by but the hurricane caused us to change our plans at the last minute. Christianne came to the rescue!
She is warm and welcoming, answered all of our questions and eased our minds. We had travelers coming from out of the country and Christianne ensured us her property was in working order and ready for us. As previously mentioned, the is fully stocked, with extras, looks gorgeous, is very comfortable and we loved the PacMan game! The pool and deck are terrific, as well. We just cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience.

Lakefront escape
This is our third stay this year. Just love it, the House is great and clean, has everything you need. The area is peaceful and quiet, gorgeous views.
Me and my son love fishing. The fishing was great all 3 days, morning and evenings. Love the place, highly recommend for family getaway.

Excellent communication with host.
Overall a fantastic experience. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. The outside experience was improved once we learned how to turn off the heat pump and the noise it made.
House had lots of space.

Recharge
Lakeside Haven is a gorgeous house that has everything you need to relax and unwind. It is as pictured and has a fully stocked kitchen (minus food) with All-Clad pots and supplies. The host responded immediately and was a pleasure. The house is across from the lake and the road is a little busy with people driving fast so be careful with pets and small children.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view of the lake. The hosts were very responsive, it was easy to access the home, and they even had the driveway plowed in the early morning after snow the night before. Would highly recommend.

Awesome getaway!
My husband and I were able to spend a few days at Lakeside Haven. The accommodations were exactly as they were described and pictured. Everything was carefully chosen and so many wonderful details were put into having everything we could need. Communication was excellent and Christianne answered any questions we had immediately.
The views were incredible and despite pouring rain, we were able to listen to albums and look out onto the lake. We look forward to returning with our children and enjoying what summer and winter is like there!

Another wonderful stay!
This was our second time staying at this beautiful house and we were not disappointed. This home is beautiful and cozy and extremely clean. The owners are wonderful to work with and extremely responsive. We had one small issue no fault of the owners and they responded immediately and helped us out. Once again we had a perfect stay
Family visit
We stayed in this property over the holidays while visiting family in the area. It was nice to have a place to spread out with our young adult children. The home was clean and the communication was easy. Thanks!

Perfect Family Get away on a quiet lake
We had a mixed bag during the week. For the beginning of the week it was my wife, myself and my daughter. She was required to work mid week so we were alone for a couple of days to relax in the afternoon sun. It was great. Toward the end of the week the house filled up with my brother and his wife, my niece, husband and baby and their dog. The house was able to accomodate everyone with their own space while not being cramped. Everyone was free to do what they wanted on the lake. The weather was perfect for August. Warm days, cool nights by the fire pit. Perfect vacation in my book. Thank-you for sharing your home with us.

Lovely place on the lake. Plenty of room for 6 of us. Enjoyed daily kayaking, swimming in the lake and most of all the peace and quiet.
The house was clean and had everything we needed including basic necessities.
The owners were informative, attentive and thoughtful including local recs and a basket of goodies at check in.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Best beach house we’ve been to!
By far the best beach house we’ve stayed in. This is our 7th-8th consecutive year staying at a beach house in Florida (2nd in Anna Maria specifically) and this house surpassed our expectations. The house layout and room sizes were amazing, the closeness to the beach was great, they had a beach chairs, a cart, beach toys. The umbrellas were both broken but not a dealbreaker. The division between the master bedroom and the rest of the house was very nice. The covered pool was comfortable although the pool had wayyy too many chemicals the whole week we were there (but again, not a dealbreaker). Management (Ruth) was very nice and responsive to all my questions and we were even allowed to check in a couple hours early. Kitchen was well stocked, lots of towels, bed sheets, bed covers, etc. cleanliness was not immaculate but fine for a beach house that was going to get dirty the first day anyways.
Weekend getaway
Was really happy with the house. Was super comfortable and exceeded expectations.
Lake was easily accessible and had a lovely time in the water.
All in all, was a perfect weekend and the property was a big plus

Home away from home.
The property was exactly as pictured and described.The home was immaculate. Our host was super nice and very communicative. Five stars isn’t enough for this wonderful retreat that is close to restaurants and beaches.

Love, love, love this house and all it has to offer. Pictures DO NOT do it justice. Clean, well stocked, bed pillows were super comfy, thoughtfully furnished and super responsive host. Great views and the sunsets were spectacular. HIGHLY recommend!!
